'I Do My Part' to celebrate World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development

At neXtmadrid, we join in the celebration of World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development, reaffirming our commitment to promoting respect and equality in our society. On this significant day, we launched our 'I Do My Part' initiative, with which we seek to inspire every individual to actively contribute to building a more inclusive and supportive world.

Cultural diversity is a fundamental element of human development, enriching our lives with a wide variety of perspectives, experiences, and traditions. Through dialogue and mutual understanding, we can break down barriers and build bridges between different cultures and communities.

Our 'I Do My Part' initiative

We believe that every small action counts and that we can all do our part to promote diversity and equality. Here we share some ways in which each of us can contribute:

1. I Choose the Language of Respect: Using inclusive and respectful language is essential to creating an environment where all people feel valued and heard.
2. I allow my child to choose what to play with: Encourage freedom of choice in children, allowing them to explore and enjoy a variety of games and activities without gender stereotypes.
3. I allow my daughter to choose what sport to do: Support girls in choosing any sport they are passionate about, breaking down traditional barriers and promoting equal opportunities.
4. I remind my daughter that there is no such thing as a “man's job”: Teach girls that they can aspire to any career or profession, eliminating the notion of gender-exclusive jobs.
5. We divide household chores equally: Promote equality in the home by sharing household responsibilities fairly and equally.
